HISTORY

We recognise the Whadjuk Noongar people as the traditional owners of this land, and pays respect to elders past, present, and emerging. This land is stolen, sovereignty was never ceded and this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

The Swim Thru Rottnest began in 1977 and has been held annually on the first Saturday of December ever since in the crystal clear protected waters of Rottnest Island, approximately 20kms off the coast of Perth, Western Australia.
